BPS named one of the Best Communities for Music Education in the nation
Bismarck Public Schools has won the prestigious 2021 Best Communities for Music Education Award from the NAMM Foundation. This distinction was awarded to 686 Districts. This outstanding achievement is given to districts that provide music access and education to all students. To qualify, BPS had to answer detailed questions about music class participation, instruction time, funding, facilities, support for music programs, etc. Research into music education shows educational, cognitive and social skill benefits for children who make music as well as a stronger likelihood of graduating from high school and going to college. Congrats to our BPS music educators! More at https://www.nammfoundation.org/articles/bcme-2021-districts.
