• You’ll need an email address to complete online registration. Don’t have one? Create one here.
• The parent or guardian who starts the registration will be the only person able to make changes.
• You can save your progress and return later. Select “Save & Sign Out” in the top-right corner before leaving, especially when using a public or shared computer.

3. You’re All Set!

Once you’ve submitted your online registration and uploaded all required documents, you’re done! Your registration will be reviewed and verified by our Central Registration team. You do not need to make an appointment.

When Will My Student Start?

If you are registering after the school year has started, please allow time for your student’s enrollment to be finalized:

• Elementary (K–5): Your student may need to wait up to 2 full school days after registration is completed before attending classes.

• Middle & High School: It may take up to one week to create a class schedule. This allows time for BPS to request records from the student’s previous school and build their schedule.

1. One Parent identification

• Parent ID with picture
• Tribal ID
• Passport (from any country)

2. One Proof of birth of student(s) 

• Passport (from any country) or Child's picture ID with birthdate 
• Birth certificate (from any country)
• Baptismal Record
• School Record at time of registration with proof of age 
• Hospital record or hospital birth record

3. Recent Immunization records of student(s)

4. One Primary proof of residence 

• Lease or rental agreement (must list parents'/guardians' names, manager's name, and phone number)
• Home mortgage statement
• Purchase agreement
• Builder's agreement
• Homeowners or renters insurance policy
• Burleigh County property tax statement 

5. One Secondary proof of residence 

• Current Utility bill (gas, water, or electric) 
• Current Cable or Direct TV bill, internet service billing for home
• Department of Social Services documentation.

*Notarized Residency Affidavits will be needed if you are living with a Bismarck resident and it is not due to financial hardship in addition to the proof of residency in the lessee/owner's name. 

*Students in transition or temporary housing are not required to submit documentation in order to enroll in school as defined in the McKinney-Vento act.
