Check-In/Check-Out Contract: Initial intervention for the WMS Tier 2 System. A research-based program designed for students with moderate problem behaviors. Most appropriate when problem behaviors are maintained by adult/peer attention. Students "check-in" with an adult at the start of each school day. Students "check-out" with an adult at the conclusion of each school day. Students get feedback from teachers throughout the day regarding their behaviors.
These supports are provided to a few students (<5%) based on their intensive needs.
Student Assistance Team (SAT)
The Student Assistance Team (SAT) meets weekly to help with Tier 3 interventions and gather additional information to help students with academics and behaviors in the classroom. The SAT team is comprised of Instructional Coaches, Counselors, General Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, the WMS School Psychologist, the WMS School Social Worker, and Assistant Principals.
