Welcome to Inclusive Sports!
Bismarck Pulic Schools is proud to offer a school-based Inclusive Sports program. Inclusive Sports is a program that combines students of all abilities onto the same team and allows them to compete for their school. For thisl year, we plan to offer the following three sports:
Flag Football:
There will be at least one flag football team at each high school with the possibility of more pending the number of students interested. Flag Football rules require that each team have five players on the field at a time. Of the five players, three will be students with a disability (athletes) and two will be students without a disability (partners). Flag football teams will practice two times per week at their respective school for one hour each day. Games will be held on Saturdays at the golf dome. The season will run for approximately 7-8 weeks. For a complete game schedule, see that high school's online activity schedule on the webpage.Bowling:
Bowling will begin in late December and run into February. Teams compete twice each week. One day will fall during the week (usually Tuesdays) with the second day likely to fall on Saturday mornings. Competitions for bowling will last an hour to an hour and a half and will take place at Midway Lanes in Mandan.Whiffle Ball:
Whiffle Ball usually begins practices in April. Practices will occur during the week with games on Saturdays at the Golf Dome.I want to participate...what do I need to do?
First, you will want to sign up. To do that, please contact your site coordinator (Mrs. Roller- BHS, Mrs. Bohrer - CHS, Mrs. Rust- LHS).

Are you interested in helping out?
To make this program run, we are in need of coaches and officials and are looking for volunteers to help make sure that things run smoothly. We are also seeking funding to help offset the cost associated with the purchase of new equiment, uniforms and rental fees assocaited with bowling. We anticipate that we will need approximately $15,000 to make it all come together. We have partnered with the Bismarck Public Schools Foundation to launch a page for donors to help offset those costs. If you are interested in partnering with us with your time and/or resources, please contact Ben Lervick or Sara Bohrer at Century High School.
