Welcome to Child Nutrition

  • School meals are no longer free for all students during the 2022-23 school year.

The waivers that provided free meals to all students have expired and Congress did not give USDA the authority to provide meals to all students at no cost.  Families can apply for free and reduced-price meals at:https://frapps.horizonsolana.com/welcome.  These applications greatly assist the district in receiving other federal funding, including Title I funding.  Meal applications can also benefit families by reducing the cost of activity fees, ACT/SAT testing fees, along with other cost-saving benefits.

Ala carte items will still be an additional purchase at schools offering this option. Free and reduced meal applications can be filled out online at https://frapps.horizonsolana.com/welcome or a paper app is available at your school.  Menus can be found at https://bismarckschools.mealviewer.net/ and are subject to change based on product availability.
