Immunizations
ND Century Code 23-07-17.1 entitled, “Inoculation Required before Admission to School”, mandates that all students through grade 12 meet a minimum number of required immunizations in order to attend school.
We encourage you to have your child complete all required immunizations. Without immunizations, your child is at risk for catching a vaccine-preventable disease and infecting others. Outbreaks of pertussis (whooping cough), measles and mumps are increasing in our country. Vaccinated children protect themselves and those around them by reducing the occurrence of disease. This is known as community immunity.
If you would like further information or to schedule an appointment, please call your health care provider or Bismarck Burleigh Public Health at 355-1540. You may request a copy of your child’s immunizations from the North Dakota Department of Health. Additional information can be found at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the American Academy of Pediatrics.
