Services

The Indian Education Department provides supportive services to the indigenous students attending BPS schools.  Programming that is supported includes:

• Back-to-School Event - Backpacks available for students 
• Afterschool tutoring at middle and high schools
• Spring Equinox Event 
• Academic financial assistance for JOM and Title VI qualified students
• Family and cultural events such as:
  • Feather Tying Ceremony for indigenous students 
  • Honoring Ceremony for graduating American Indian students
  • A variety of Native speakers such as Chance Rush, Turtle Concepts, Danielle Finn (Miss Indian World 2016), Kevin Locke, and others
