Bus 42 students will ride Bus 63 the rest of the week.
This Friday, January 28th will be Hat Day! The cost is $1.00 to wear at hat. Pay your dollar at the main entrance or cafetorium entrance before school to get your hand stamped and wear your hat for the day. This event is sponsored by student council.
Chess Tournament: Monday, February 21st at Wachter Middle School. The tournament is open to all students in grades K-12. There are 4 divisions: K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th, and 9th-12th. Registration begins at 12:30pm and the tournament will run from 1pm-4pm. There is a $10 entry fee for participants, and there will be medals given out to 1st - 3rd place in each age division. No Deliveries for Students Accepted
Wachter does not accept delivery of floral arrangements, balloons, gift bags, etc. for students. Floral shops have been notified of our policy and should not accept orders to be delivered for students.
We also ask that parents do not drop off outside food for their student. No restaurant or fast food deliveries for students will be accepted. Students have the choice of bringing a cold lunch from home or having the school’s lunch options.
Students that are out of the building during lunch times should eat before they return to school. Please do not bring outside food in to the school, it is not allowed in the lunchroom or classroom.
This is an opportunity to get information about the registration process; learn about the senior high school course offerings; get advice about preparing for college; life after high school; and find out about the differences between middle school and high school.
Students will register the week of February 2nd.

The Summer Academic Program is a free six-week middle school summer program that focuses on topics such as reading, English, math, social studies, and science. This program will use a hands-on, project based approach to actively involve students. Classes will be in session, Monday through Thursday from8 am – 11 amstarting June 6 through July 14 at Wachter Middle School. Children who will be entering grade 6 in the fall and whose parents live in the Wachter Middle School attendance area are eligible to attend this summer program. The goal is that children who enroll in this summer program will maintain or improve their academic skills in the core academic areas.
* You must register your child for the whole six week session. However, if your family has special circumstances, you can visit with your building principal.
* The REGISTRATION DEADLINE is February 18, 2022. Please fill out one registration form per child that will be attending and return it to the Wachter Middle School office.
* AParent or Legal Guardian signature is required on the registration form.
* Due to limited funding, there is no supervision for your child before 8:00 am or after 11:00 am.
* Busing service is not provided for the summer program.
The Bismarck Public Schools Foundation (BPSF) has established a BPS Family Assistance Fund. Those that wish to donate may do so through the foundation website or by mail. Washington St., Bismarck, ND 58501 and write “BPS-FAF” in the memo line. Families seeking assistance are encouraged to reach out to their counselor or social worker who will connect them to established community resources as well as submit requests for funding needs that cannot be met within existing resources. The BPSF thanks those who have already reached out to volunteer and/or provide monetary donations to help those within our community who are struggling.
