Attendance
School attendance is very important. If your child needs to be absent or tardy for any reason, please notify the school prior to 8:30. For safety reasons, we need to account for all children.
Students arriving after 9:30 AM or leaving school before 2:00 PM will be counted absent for half a day.
Students arriving to school after 8:35 AM are counted as tardy and need to check in the office before going to class.
If your student needs to leave school before dismissal, it is expected that a parent or guardian come into the building to sign out the student in the office.
Whether due to illness, a family trip, or any other reason, a district letter will be mailed to parents when students have missed 5, 10, 15, or 20 days
of school. It is required by law for the school to report absences that are excessive.

Kindergarten Registration is open!
Fall kindergarten registration is now open for children who will be 5 years old on or before July 31. Go to https://www.bismarckschools.org/kreg to get information to complete your child’s registration. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can visit any public elementary school to use one or stop by Central Registration at 806 N. Washington St., door #2. If you need assistance, email registrar@bismarckschools.org or call 701-323-4110. Students who attend BECEP can be registered for kindergarten at BECEP by March 12. NOTE: Parents are strongly encouraged to register their K-5th grade students as soon as possible to help ensure placement in their neighborhood school. The sooner a student is registered, the higher the probability of them attending their boundary school. Due to capacity limitations, those who wait too long may be placed in a different school and required to wait until the following year to be enrolled in their boundary school.
