• What PTO Funds Do

    PTO's ongoing Fundraising goals are to raise money for Northridge leveled reading room books and voice enhancement systems for each classroom!

    Throughout the school year, the PTO contributes to the students and staff of Northridge. Money raised through the fall fundraiser and any fundraising events throughout the school year has been used to fund and is being used to fund:

    • A new computer lab in December 2008
    • Money to teachers and/or departments for supplies or activities
    • ActivBoards for each Northridge classroom (approx $6,000 donated in 2010-11 school year, $15,272.50 donated in 2011-12 school year and approx. $7,600 donated in 2012-2013 school year)
    • Money to buy new instruments in the music room such as new drums during the 2011-12 school year
    • Library funds for new books and technology upgrades
    • Two graduating senior scholarships for former Northridge students, $500 and $750, respectively
    • Appreciation gifts for staff
    • Digital cameras for each classroom in Northridge
    • Coke Rewards Points purchased gymnasium equipment for all students (4 all purpose goals purchased in fall of 2013)
    • T-shirts for all fifth grade students
    • Teacher meals during parent/teacher conferences in the fall and spring (these meals are usually 100% donated by PTO parents)
    • Leveled book room ($5,930 donated in 2012-13 school year, $5,000 donated in fall of 2013)
    • Production of Northridge annual yearbook
    • Annual allocations of money to teachers each fall
    • Northridge Superstar Field Day each spring
    • Voice enhancement systems for each classroom at Northridge (ongoing, $3,000 donated in fall of 2013)
    • New digital LED scoreboard for the gymnasium using Campbell's Learning Labels points in 2013-14 school year
    • Playground equipment
    • Flexible seating for classrooms
    • Chromebooks in 2018
