Final Tests & Report Cards
Students that must take final tests will sign up with their teacher for a test time slot. There is not a mandatory final.
Tests begin on May 26, from 1:50-3:20.
Test times on May 27 & May 28, are 8:10-9:40, 10:05-11:45, 12:15-1:45, and 2:00-3:30.
The Career Academy test and bus schedule can be found in the Main Office.
If any fees are owed (art, music, activity, library, parking, lunch or Chromebook fees) ALL FINAL TESTS MUST BE TAKEN!
A limited breakfast (7:30-8:30) and lunch (11-12:30) will be served.
Final report cards will be sent electronically. If we do not have an email address they will be mailed after June11.Test Exemption Policy
The purpose of the test exemption policy is to encourage integrity amongst academic behaviors. Classes will be eligible to earn an exemption based on the following criteria:
Criteria:
At the beginning of each semester, all students are expected to take all of their final exams. The final exam schedule each semester is part of the regular school calendar and should not be viewed as vacation days. Through the course of an individual semester, a student may earn an exemption from each final exam based on the following criteria:
1. No more than 2 (two) tardies
2. No unexcused absences (per class)
3. No more than 3 assignments which are late or not turned in (per class)
4. No instances of academic dishonesty (plagiarism, cheating)
5. No instances of refusal to participate in teacher requested tutorial sessions
6. A detention or suspension from school for any reason will result in the loss of exemption consideration for all classes.
7. Students will not receive test exemption from a class they are failing unless they are unable to achieve a passing grade with the final exam. This determination is made by consulting the instructor prior to the final test.
Beyond the qualification criteria listed above, the following may apply to some/all of your classes:
• An exempt student may elect to take the semester test. In this scenario, results of the exam will be figured into the final grade only if it improves the final grade. As a school district, we encourage and support parents/guardians to develop a plan prior to the beginning of each semester that would include taking several final exams.
• Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors teachers may require a final test provided they notify students during the first week of the semester.
• The BPS test exemption policy does not apply to Dual Credit courses. Exams for Dual Credit courses will follow the college expectation of a final. -
