Apr. 8-26 Nominate Teacher of Year
Teacher of the Year nominees sought by Larks & Lignite Energy Council: students in grades K-12 are being asked to nominate their favorite teachers from April 8-26. Seven area teachers will be chosen and receive two tailgate tickets and other recognition. Then one overall winner will be chosen and receive $1,000 STEM grant for their school, a $250 gift card for school supplies, tickets to a game, and a free ticket to the Lignite Energy Council Teacher of the Year seminar. Students can submit nominations online at www.larksbaseball.com under Community, then Community Programs or mail them to Larks Baseball, 300 N. 4th St., Suite 103, Bismarck, ND 58501.

Apr. 24-25 Computers for a Cause
North Dakota E-Waste, along with KX News, McDonald’s, and First International Bank, are hosting Computers for a Cause, a fundraising event to benefit Community Action’s Backpack for Kids Program. It will take place April 24-25 from 8 am-7 pm at ND E-Waste, 3007 Morrison Ave. For every computer, $5 will be donated to the Backpack for Kids Program. Accepted items include computers, laptops, flat screen monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and printers. ND E-Waste will also shred hard drives for $5 each. Apr. 25 BPS Employee Recognition Dinner
The BPS Recognition Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, April 25 at the Ramkota. The social is at 6 pm with dinner following at 6:30 pm. Employees will be recognized for years of service, retirement and special awards. Tickets are available for $20 each in the Human Resources Office at Hughes, 806 N. Washington St.
