MALE STUDENTS: Federal law requires that all men register with Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Now, 17 year old men can submit their registration information early on the Internet (www.sss.gov), or by filling out a form at any post office. They can submit information to Selective Service at age 17 years and 3 months old and be automatically registered when they turn 18. The Selective Service web site information can be found in the BHS Student Services Office. Selective Service registration is required to be eligible for a student loan, job training, most federal jobs, and U.S. citizenship.
Juniors and seniors interested in a medical career, see Ms. Balerud in Student Services to register for an interactive health career exploration event. Hurry, as spots are limited and preregistration is required.
