What is Google Apps? Google Apps is a suite of web-based collaboration applications that Google hosts on their own servers. Google provides these applications as a service rather than as software you must download and install. To access these applications, you simply use a web browser on any computer that's connected to the Internet.
BPS implements Google Apps for Education! The Bismarck Public School district has implemented Google Apps for Education. All district staff were notified via an email from the Help Desk on July 13th regarding the import into the environment using your bismarckschools.org email address starting Monday, July 18th.
All district students were also imported into the environment.*
What do you need to do?
If you would like to access the BPS Google Apps environment, use the link above to access Google docs.
When prompted with a sign in box use your network credentials to log in NOT YOUR FULL EMAIL ADDRESS.(Staff use firstname_lastname for username and network {email} password. *students log in with their network username and password) Depending on the browser you use, the sign in box may look similar to this:

What does this mean to you?
When you are ready to access or attempt to access the BPS Google Apps environment just sign into Google using your BPS email address and password from the link above. If you had a Google account using your BPS email prior to our migration, you will be prompted to activate either a Gmail address or use another email address of your choice in order to separate your private (BPS Apps) account from your personal (Gmail or other email address) account.
