National Technical Honor Society
On Thursday May 5th, 2016 the Bismarck Public Schools Career Academy inducted 50 into the National Technical Honor Society. The NTHS is designed to honor Career and Technical Education (CTE) students that have shown outstanding ability in their field of study. Student loan relief for teachers

Teacher shortages exist in 14 subjects in ND; instructors in those subjects will be eligible for student loan relief, debt forgiveness or deferrals under federal student loan programs, including Perkins and Stafford loans.

During North Dakota's Bicentennial year, Saxvik principal Don Prouty helped produce a video on March 9, 1976 that was put in a time capsule at the school. The time capsule was opened June 2, 2016, prior to Saxvik no longer being used as a public school.
