Summer Services

"Summer services" refers to those school-sponsored activities and programs that are available to all students in the District. (See "Extended School Year" for more information about special education services outside of the typical school-year schedule). The Special Education Department's role is to work in conjunction with general education teachers to ensure summer programs and services are accessible to students with disabilities.

At the secondary level, individualized assistance may be available for students enrolled in summer-session classes for credit. Types of assistance may include adapted/modified classroom materials, individual and small-group instruction, and modified testing procedures.

At the elementary level, individualized assistance and consultation services are available to assist "Camp Edventure" staff in addressing the needs of young children with disabilities, and ensuring their access to the Camp's activities.

For more information about accessible summer services, contact:
The Principal or your Child's building.
