Although the majority of special education services are provided to students in their home schools, the Bismarck Special Education Department also provides services in alternative settings. Services may be provided in alternative settings for a variety of reasons, such as student need and parent interests. Examples of settings where special education services are currently provided include: Head Start, area child care facilities, private schools, South Central High School, St. Alexius Medical Center Partial Care program, and Manchester House (in conjunction with Pride, Inc.).
