Rick Wormeli, a nationally Board Certified teacher, trainer and writer, will do a free public presentation about standards-based grading, assessments, and the role of homework. This community session will take place at 7 pm on Wednesday, October 19th, in the Legacy High School auditorium, 3400 E. Calgary Ave. in Bismarck.

During North Dakota's Bicentennial year, Saxvik principal Don Prouty helped produce a video on March 9, 1976 that was put in a time capsule at the school. The time capsule was opened June 2, 2016, prior to Saxvik no longer being used as a public school.
