The Lexile Ranking provides a common, developmental scale for matching reader ability and text difficulty. The Lexile Framework Source measures comprehension of vocabulary and sentence structure. Lexile Scale (link) The chart shows the relationship between grade level and Lexile Rankings. The grade level does not necessarily reflect the student's actual grade. The Lexile scale is a developmental scale for reading. The Lexile measure is a reading ability or text difficulty score followed by an "L" (e.g., "850L"). |
