Positive Behavior Expectations

Positive Behavior Brochure (pdf document)
File Size: 333.83 kb

This brochure outlines our positive behavior expectations. Students come to school to learn and one of the areas of learning includes how to manage their behavior in a variety of locations and situations. We have put this together so you can help support students in their growth and understanding of school wide expectations. Please review this with your child.

As a school we implement Conscious Discipline and teach, model and practice expectations. We implement Second Step a social skills curriculum that teaches students self-regulation, safety and problem solving skills. Mr. Wangen works with students on these same skills. As with any learning there will be times when students will not make good choices. At these times we will guide students by redirecting. If unacceptable behaviors continue we will work with students to "repair" the situation. This will include a "Rocket Repair" plan. Students will complete this with help from school staff and make a plan for the future and return to the group strengthened. Parents will be contacted.

Thank you for your support. We know that working together we will ensure that Liberty is a great place for all students to learn and grow.
