The Bismarck Community Crisis Team was formed in the mid-1980's to assist with "postvention" after a youth suicide. Today, the team is comprised of school/college counselors and social service representatives from agencies such as Police Youth Bureau, Youthworks, West Central Human Services, Division of Juvenile Services, local hospitals, the ministerial association, etc. who reach out to families (children and adults) who have experienced a death that touches members of our community. The team also provides training in suicide prevention, grief, and other related topics. For more information, contact the team secretary, renae_walker@bismarckschools.org or (701) 323-4091.
