They are selected by a three-person committee composed of: the President of the Bismarck Public School Board, the Superintendent of the Bismarck School District, and the President of the Bismarck Public Schools Foundation. Each member shall serve a three-year term. A member may serve three consecutive terms. Officers are elected by the Foundation Board of Directors from its membership. There are three officers, nine-fourteen members, and three ex-officio members. Meetings are held monthly. Duties of the Board of Directors are: To serve as directors for the Bismarck Public School Foundation re: the generation and use of BPS Foundation funds and gifts. To seek funds and other gifts to strengthen educational programs and services for Bismarck Public Schools. To develop by-laws, policies, and procedures which will encourage and enhance contributions to the BPS Foundation.
