Apple Dash
Apple Dash 2009 will be Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 4:00 pm
at Hughes Educational Center. Events will be 1/2 mile, 1 mile and 5K run/walk. There will also be a picnic dinner, face painting, rock climbing wall, inflatables and other fun family activities. Ribbons will be given to all participants, and special awards to the top male and female finishers at the elementary, middle school, high school, and adult categories.
The Bismarck Public Schools Foundation (BPSF) held its first Apple Dash on Thursday, Sept. 13th, 2007 to raise money for PTO/PAC's and teacher mini-grants. The school that raised the most money received a portion of funds raised by the school; a traveling trophy was awarded to the school with top participation; other schools received half of funds raised by school.
The dash included a half-mile and one-mile walk/run and a 5k walk/run at Huges Educational Center using the Tom O'Leary Trail.
