Associated General Contractors of North Dakota Scholarships
Scholarships worth $1,500 for students planning to enroll in Construction Management or Construction Engineering at NDSU and $750 awards for those in construction related majors at BSC or NDSCS in Wahpeton. Download at or Deadline: April 28

BCC Foundation Donna Johnson Memorial Scholarship
The Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation (BCCF) will award two $1000 scholarships to individuals who are interested in and committed to oncology nursing and who are pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing through a Bismarck college. Find at Deadline: April 28

Bismarck Eagles Auxiliary BSC/University of Mary Scholarship
The Eagles Auxiliary provides a $500 scholarship to a student attending BSC or University of Mary. Financial need is given more importance than scholastic average. Deadline: April 15

Bismarck Masonic Foundation Scholarship
Six scholarship awards are given to Bismarck seniors who plan to attend college in ND. Criteria includes academic record, future plans, an essay and school, church, & community involvement. Deadline: April 21

Bismarck State College Foundation Scholarship
Awards from $1,000 to $2,000 per year for qualifying students in academic, performing arts, visual arts, journalism and certain technical and energy programs at BSC. Students with a GPA between 3.0 and 4.0 have a great chance of earning a scholarship! Complete application at Priority deadline for the $2,000 scholarships is January 1st, applications will still be accepted after the priority deadline for the $1,000 scholarships.

Diane Sigl Schlosser Scholarship
Established in 2017 by her family and friends to honor Diane's love for teaching and commitment in helping students discover and pursue their passions Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two students that demonstrate the qualities of compassion, perseverance, and a genuine willingness to help make a difference in the lives of those around them. Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund
The Freedom Alliance honors our military heroes by granting scholarships for dependent sons or daughters of US soldiers who were permanently disabled or killed while serving their country. Apply at

Horizon Middle School Staff Scholarship
One-time $500 scholarships will be awarded to two graduating seniors who attended Horizon for at least one year. Recipients will be chosen based on character, need, accomplishments, and goals. Available online at Deadline: April 5

Horizon Financial Bank Scholarship
The employees of Horizon Financial Bank are offering one $300 scholarship to a senior from Bismarck. The applicant and/or parent must be a customer of the bank. Application can be found on the promotions page at Deadline: May 1

Jane Ellis Scholarship
Any senior girl from the Bismarck /Mandan area is eligible for this $500 award offered by P.E.O Chapter H of Mandan. Criteria includes: scholastic achievement, financial need, school and community involvement and character. Deadline: April 20

ND Academic and ND Career and Technical Education Scholarships
Online applications are being accepted for those who met the criteria for one of these state-sponsored scholarships. Apply at Deadline: June 2

North Dakota Association of Counties/Institute of Local Government Scholarship Fund
Six $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to students attending a ND university, college, or vocational/technical certification program. Eligible candidates must be child or grandchild of a county employee or county official. Stop in counseling office for application. Deadline: June 2

North Dakota Farmers Union Scholarship
College-bound seniors with at least a 2.5 GPA and whose families are members of Farmers Union may apply for this scholarship. The field of study is not limited to agri-business, farm operation or production agriculture but should relate to/benefit rural America. ND Rural Water Systems Association Patrick Denne Memorial Scholarship
Up to $8,000 will be awarded to child or grandchild of a current city/rural water system employee or elected city/rural water system official OR student must be enrolled or planning to enroll in BSC's Water and Wastewater Technology program. Find application at Deadline: April 28

Northridge Elementary August Ritter Memorial PTO Scholarship
A $750 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who attended Northridge for at least one year. Visit the PTO page at Deadline: March 31

Quota International of Bismarck-Mandan Scholarship
A $250 scholarship will be awarded to a student who is hearing impaired OR entering a field of study which focuses on hearing or speech. Contact Sue Solseth at or 400-5196. Deadline: April 1

Reuben T. Guenthner Scholarship
Two $350 scholarships awarded to ND seniors who completed at least one career and technical education course in high school and plan to enroll in a career and technical education program of two years or less at a North Dakota school. Apply at Deadline: April 1

Simle Middle School Parent Advisory Scholarship
The Parent Advisory Council of Simle is offering four $250 college scholarships to graduating seniors who attended Simle for at least two semesters. Deadline: April 13

Sunrise Elementary School PTO Scholarship
The Sunrise PTO is offering a one-time $500 scholarship to a graduating senior who attended Sunrise for at least one year. Deadline: April 5

North Dakota Community Foundation/BPS Foundation Scholarships

Benjamin Berg Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship fund was stablished to honor the memory of Benjamin Berg, a 2016 CHS graduate. Preference will be given to seniors who participated in baseball at CHS and have a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Bismarck Schools Scholarship
One senior from each public high school - Bismarck High and Century High- will be selected. Selection will be based on academic achievement, need and school performance indicating probable success in higher education.

Dixon Wightman Scholarship
This $1,000 award was established to honor longtime teacher and coach Dixon Wightman. The award will be made to a track and field athlete who exhibits solid moral character and strong academic performance. Preference will be given to a CHS shot put, discus, or javelin thrower. Stop in the counseling office for an application.

Jeff Burgess Memorial Scholarship
The Lignite Energy Council established this scholarship to assist a graduating senior from Bismarck planning to pursue a science-related career. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate self-motivation, respect for others, honesty, and dependability.

Jim and Barbara Blaine Scholarship
Applicants must have attended CHS for 2 years. Preference will be given to students who are descendants of present and former Century High School Staff. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Other criteria to be considered include a balance of academic achievement and co-curricular activities.

Kathy Eggmann Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will assist a graduating senior from Century High School who is active in Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). The award will be paid in the fall and is based on need and ability.

North Dakota Military Scholarship
The ND Community Foundation awards scholarships to dependents of members of a ND military unit/installation.

Pauline Paul Memorial Scholarship
CHS seniors with a GPA of at least 2.5 are eligible. The selection committee will also consider the student's volunteer community service activities, financial need and experience in dealing with cancer in the applicant's family, i.e. parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Tom Sturdevant Scholarship
This award is for a graduating senior athlete from CHS who plays above his potential and with "heart", is involved with year round training, and participates in either football or track.

Tyler Herman Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Jeff and Kelli Herman in loving memory of their son Tyler Herman. The primary purpose is to financially assist students from Bismarck/Mandan who have lost either a parent or sibling. Preference will be given to students who attend Century or Bismarck High Schools.

Chris Traeholt Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will assist a student from Century High School who is planning to enroll in the engineering department at North Dakota State University.
