Mary Pat Archuletta

Mary Pat Archuleta

Mary Pat Archuleta has been the Director of Choral Music at Bismarck Century High School since 1990. She conducts the CHS Singers, the Concert Choirs (Per. 3 and Per 5) and Celebration "Jazz". In addition, she teaches Music Theory and Composition. Mrs. Archuleta has worked in the Bismarck Public Schools since 1987, teaching general music at Will-Moore Elementary and middle school choral music at Horizon prior to accepting her current duties at CHS.

Choirs under Mrs. Archuleta's direction have been honored to perform for the North Dakota ACDA Showcase and as guest artists for statewide festivals and conventions throughout her tenure. She is proud of a steady tradition to send outstanding numbers of singers to festivals such as the Northwest Music Festival, the State, Regional and National ACDA Honor Choir events; and to North Dakota's All State choirs. Her students receive Top Awards at both Regional and State Music Contests. Mary Pat has been an active member of ACDA throughout her extensive career and has served as a Repertoire and Standards chair many times. She has served as a guest clinician throughout the state and has especially enjoyed many years judging vocal performances for North Dakota's Region and State Music Contests. Throughout the years, she has served as a clinician for numerous Honor Choir events. Currently, she is active on the Continuous School Improvement and Teacher Leadership Teams at her Century High School and is a North Dakota Teacher Mentor for new teachers. Mrs. Archuleta is a l983 graduate of North Dakota State University in Fargo, where she studied under the late Dr. Edwin Fissinger-composer, teacher and mentor.

In addition to her teaching, Mary Pat is an active soloist and musician in the area. She also maintains her private voice studio during the school year and in during the summer months. Mrs. Archuleta is married to Nick Archuleta, also a teacher at Century. They have three daughters and one son.

Natascha Bach

Natascha Bach

Natascha Bach is pleased to have joined the choral departments of both Bismarck High and Century where she assists both directors. Ms. Bach co-directs the BHS Prep Choir and Women's Choir and assists Mr. Seil with the Concert Choir. In addition, she works with sectionals and individuals as they prepare for auditions and honor choirs. Ms. Bach has been an educator with the Bismarck Public School District since 1999. Natascha is an active member of ACDA and MENC and has served as a vocal judge for the state's regional music contests. She has been a featured soloist in Handel's Messiah, Bernstein's Candide, Mozart's Magic Flute, and Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel. Ms. Bach also provides private vocal instruction. Over the years, her students have received many accolades and top awards. When she is not teaching or singing, spending time with her teenage children and attending their activities is her top priority. She is married to Jason Dockter. They have two children, Ashley and Landon.

Gwen Marsh

Gwen Marsh

Gwen Marsh, a native North Dakotan, graduated from Minot State College with a double major in Elementary Education and Music and was listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. She taught elementary music in Montana and Idaho.

When her husband's career path took them to California, Utah and Nevada, she served in those communities as church choir director and organist, as school accompanist for choirs, soloists and several high school musical productions and was a piano teacher.

Upon returning to her home state in 2005, she began serving as choir accompanist for Century High School Choral Department, CDCC and opened a piano studio. She is a church organist and pianist and directs the Alleluia Ringers Hand Bell Ensemble. Gwen and her husband, Claude, have two grown sons, Chad and Nathan.
