Leap Into Learning

Welcome to Fifth Grade

Mrs. Bullock
Hope you had a fun-filled summer break and are getting ready for the new school year to begin.

My name is Mrs. Bullock, and I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. A little about me…we, my husband, Eli, and I, have an energetic two year old son, Hudson. He loves life, is full of energy, and has a mind all his own. We also welcomed Jaxton into our family on April 2. He is a very happy baby and can't get enough of his big brother. During the summer, we had a few getaways. We spent a long weekend in the Black Hills for a family reunion. While there, we celebrated Hudson's second birthday. We have also made several short trips to my parents' farm where Hudson and Eli get a chance to play farmer. Of course, I loved being a full-time mom and taking my boys to the park, library, zoo, pool, music class…you name, we loved it! My hobbies include scrap booking, reading, and spending time outside. I have spent several years teaching fifth graders at Centennial, but I have taught fourth and sixth graders, too. Originally, I am from Scranton, ND, a small community in the southwest corner of the state. Growing up on my parents' farm, ranch, and dairy provided me with a desire to work hard in order to achieve my goals. I wouldn't trade it for the world! I have one younger sister, Angela. After high school, I attended Valley City State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with minors in both Reading and Early Childhood Education with Kindergarten endorsement. I earned my Master's Degree of Education with a concentration in Teaching and Technology from VCSU as well.

Our classroom is a learning community, and as part of a community, we will work together and help everyone be successful. This is achieved by being respectful, responsible, and supportive. As members of our class, each of us must come to school ready to learn and willing to do our personal best each and every day. Our classroom is a place where all members can express their thoughts and opinions, and we encourage participation from everyone! We will also have a lot of fun while we learn together and discover each other's talents and interests.

I want to thank you in advance for sharing your child with me. As we work as a team, I look forward to a successful school year.
