"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean out not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5
As a young person, Karen Klein Cameron-Brook, extremely shy and quiet, dreamed of becoming an opera singer - impossible, given her tiny, insignificant voice. But, God had a different plan for her - a voice stronger and farther reaching than she could have imagined.
Seeking truth, light and purpose, the former Miss Bismarck and UND graduate, embarked on a surprising journey. As a professional jazz and big band singer, Karen Cameron has sung in 38 states, Europe, and South America. She has performed with Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and with her own Boston-based band, "Something Cool." Among her many recordings are two solo CDs, "Young and Foolish Again" and "A Quiet Place."
A teacher and mentor, Karen has authored two books, "Prayer and All That Jazz" and "She Sees Angels." Her Christian leadership includes music ministry, altar prayer, Celebrate Recovery, women's prison ministry, and short term missionary trips to Ethiopia.
I sing for the humble and the hungry,
The poor in spiritual wealth.
I sing for those who have abandoned hope,
And those who have lost their song.
I sing with joy and inner peace,
For miracles yet to come;
With music that lifts us over the rainbow,
In thanks for God's boundless love!
