Class of 1967

A 1967 graduate of Bismarck High School, Gordon Joseph Weiss has established himself as an accomplished actor on stage and screen. He has appeared in numerous film, television, Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, as well as many regional productions.

Montague Gammon III describes Weiss as "born to his roles. He provides rich emotional texture, physically realized psychological subtleties and the unforced craftsmanship of the true artist."

His versatility as an actor is evident in the wide variety of stage and screen productions in which he played one or more roles. His characters range from the Duke of Cornwall to Rufus to Alter Ego to Psycho Doctor. He has appeared in such films as Company Retreat, Imaginary Heroes, Awakenings, and Reversal of Fortune, among others.

His television credits include Law & Order, Third Watch, Spin City and SVU: Special Victim's Unit.

One of Weiss' Broadway productions includes Ghetto, for which he received the Antoinette Perry (Tony) Award Nomination for the Best Featured Actor in a Play and the NY Drama Desk Award Nomination for the Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play.

Weiss is married to Rosie McGuire and they reside in New York.
