Lynn M. Froeschle
Class of 1978


Lynn M. Froeschle graduated as class valedictorian in 1978 from Bismarck High School. She received a Bachelor's of Science degree in 1982 and a Bachelor's of Architecture degree in 1983 from North Dakota State University where she focused on sustainable buildings. In 1987, Lynn became a licensed architect in North Dakota and in California the following year where she also resides. Ms. Froeschle established Lynn Froeschle, AIA, Architects in 1992 and emerged as a pioneer in environmental architecture after providing green building consultations on numerous award-winning projects including Ridgehaven, the first green building for the City of San Diego completed in 1996 which represented the United States at the 1998 World Green Building Challenge. Lynn developed a method for the Environmental Assessment & Specification of Green Building Materials as published in 1999, which has been referenced worldwide. Projects range from creating Disney's Green Building Goals & Guidelines to transforming a conventional house into her Dream Green Home in 2003. Lynn M. Froeschle, AIA, LEED AP was the original founder and chair of San Diego AIA's Committee on the Environment and is also a member of the US Green Building Council where her original works were utilized to create the Pilot LEED Green Building Rating System. Lynn is dedicated to creating green built environments in harmony with lifestyles and nature. She also established Natural Harmony Creations in 2001 where she composes and sings original songs as a singer/songwriter.
