North Dakota State Scholarship

Associated General Contractors of North Dakota Scholarship

Amount: $750-$1500
Criteria:
*Senior Students who plan to enroll at NDSU this fall and major in Construction Engineering/Construction Management are eligibile to be considered for a $1,500 scholarship.
*Seniors planning to attend NDSCS or Bismarck State College this fall and major in a construction related field are eligible for consideration for a $750 scholarship.

August Ritter Memorial PTO Scholarship

Amount: $750
Criteria: Students must have attended Northridge School for a minimum of one year

Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation Donna Johnson Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: This program provides scholarships to individuals who are interested in and committed to the field of oncology and are pursuing a degree through a Bismarck College.

Bismarck Cancer Center

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: This scholarship is provides a scholarship to individuals who are interested in and committed to the field of oncology and are pursuing a degree through a Bismarck College.

Gene L. Kouba Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Must be a child of a veteran

2017 EngTech Scholarship

Amount: $1,000-$1,500
Criteria: To be eligible for the EngTech Scholarship applicants must plan to attend and be accepted in a ND engineering program that is accredited by the ABET-EAC or a ND architectural program that is accredited by the NAAB.

Bismarck Public Schools Foundation Scholarships

There are over 17 scholarships available on the Bismarck Schools Foundation website. These scholarships include the Kenneth Hendrickson Scholarship, the Paul and Marion Walz Memorial Scholarship, The Alton Wolfer Scholarship, Edgar Bollinger Scholarship, the Richard and Ileane Biwer Memorial Scholarship, and the Tayler Fladeland Memorial Scholarship Fund.

First Community Credit Union

Amount: $1,000-$4,000
Criteria: Must be a member of First Community Credit Union

Centennial PTO Scholarship

Amount: $300
Criteria: The applicant must have completed at least one year at Centennial Elementary School

Robert Miller Elementary PTO Scholarship

Amount: $500
Criteria:
1.The recipient shall graduate during the 2016-2017 academic year.
2.The recipient must have attended Miller Elementary for at least 1 year.
3.The recipient must have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
4.The application must be filled out completely and legibly.
Process: Pick up an application in Student Services

RUReady ND Scholarship

Amount: $250
Criteria: This scholarship is open to those 13 and older.
Process:To participate, students will have to complete specific tasks in RUReadyND.gov, then click on the badge at the bottom of the page (visible on RUReadyND.gov from 1/9 - 2/3) to enter.
Deadline: February 3rd, 2017

CHS Foundation Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors pursuing an agricultural-related major at any two- or four-year college throughout the nation are encouraged to apply for one of fifty $1,000 scholarships.

Farmers Union Industries Foundation Stanley Moore Scholarship

ND Farmers Union Co-Op House Scholarship

Amount: Varies
Criteria:
A. Current North Dakota Farmers Union members, members of a cooperative or relatives
of past Co-op House member.
B. Applicants must plan to enroll as a freshman at North Dakota State University.
C. Applicants need to be pursuing a career important to rural America. However, the field of study is not limited to agri-business, farm operation and production agriculture.
D. During the last three years of school, applicants must have a grade point average (GPA)of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

ND Farmer's Union Scholarship

Amount: $500
Criteria:
*Applicants must be pursuing a career important to rural America, but not limited to agribusiness, farm operation or production agriculture.

*Farmers Union membership required ($30/yearly)
*Must have at least 2.50 grade point average during the last three years of schooling

Stanley Moore Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Must be a Farmers Union member or child of a member

West Dakota Chevy Scholarship Program

Amount: $500-$5,000
Criteria: The Contest is open only to students who, at the time of entry, are legal residents of the states of North Dakota and who are currently enrolled as a full-time student as a high school junior (11th grade), senior (12th grade)

NDACo Scholarship

Amount: $2,000
Criteria:
- Must be between the ages of 17-22
- Must be a child or grandchild of a county employee or county official

North Dakota Crop Improvement and Seed Association

Amount: $1,000
Criteria:
- Applicant must be a resident of the state of ND
- Applicant and/or guardian shall be a member of their respective county Crop (Ag) Improvement Association
- Applicant needs to be a full time student

Bismarck Rotary Club Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: To be considered for a Bismarck Rotary Club Scholarship you must be a graduating
senior and you must do THREE things:
1. Complete and submit the SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION with
emphasis on a good essay,
2. Submit your high school transcript,
3. Have one of your teachers submit the SCHOLARSHIP
RECOMMENDATION directly to the Bismarck Rotary Club

Bismarck Kiwanis Club Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria:
- Must show good citizenship, volunteerism, and service involvement in the school, church, and community
- Strong Scholastic record and ACT/SAT Scores
- Financial Need

Kiwanis Educational Foundation Award

Amount: $850
Criteria: Must attend a ND, SD, MN, or WI college or university

ND Rural Water Systems Association Scholarship

Amount: Varies
Criteria:
-Must be a child or grandchild or a current city/rural water system employee or elected city/rural water system official
OR
- Must be enrolled or planning ton enroll in the BSC Water and Wasterwater Technology Program.

Farm Credit Services Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Recipients must be from an actively farming and/or ranching family, or be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture.
Process: Pick up an application in Student Services or online at www.farmcreditnd.com
Deadline: March 1, 2017

AXA Achievement Scholarship

Amount: Varies from $2,500 to $25,000
Criteria: Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico
-Be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2017-2018 academic year
-Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities
-Because reducing risk is woven into the fabric of our company, special consideration is given to achievements that empower society to mitigate risk through education and/or action in areas such as financial, environmental, health, safety and/or emergency preparedness

Nurse.org Healthcare Leaders Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Based in Bellevue, WA, Nurse.org is seeking applications for the Healthcare Leaders Scholarship. To be eligible for the $1000 award, students must have a GPA of 3.0 or above, be pursuing a degree related to healthcare, and submit a 600-1000 word essay by January 29th. Scholarship is offered once a year and award is paid directly to the student.

Lisa Burdolski Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $300
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors in the United States, where that state has an active JCI Senate program. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this scholarship.

Deadline: January 15th, 2017

Real Deal Scholarship

Amount: $500
Criteria:
-Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
-Demonstrate community and school involvement in at least three activities
-Plan to attend a North Dakota college

Deadline: You only need to apply one time to qualify for all six drawings. The sooner you enter, the more chances you have to win.

B. Davis Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Must be attending a college or university fall 2017

Deadline: May 22, 2017

Elks National Foundation Scholarship

Amount: Varies $4,000-$50,000
Criteria: Any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen may apply for an MVS scholarship. Applications will be judged on: Scholarship, Leadership, and Financial need.

Deadline: November 30th, 2016

Horatio Alger Scholarship

Amount: $7,000-$25,000
Criteria: -Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree
- Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income)
- Be involved in co-curricular and community service activites
- Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must be a U.S. citizen

Wendy's Heisman Scholarship

Amount: Varies
Criteria: Must have a 3.0 GPA and participate in at least one of the 43 sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee. The applicant must also be a leader in school and in the community.

Deadline: October 3rd, 2016

2018 North Dakota Scholars Program
Amount: 30-35 in-state tuition scholarships (renewable if a 3.5 GPA is maintained in college)
Criteria: Must plan to attend a North Dakota college or university, take the ACT no later than June 10, 2017, and rank in the 95th percentile or higher on the ACT composite score of all ND students taking the ACT.
Process: ACT scores are automatically sent to the North Dakota University System.
Deadline: Must take the ACT no later than the June 10 test date.

North Dakota Academic Scholarship
Amount: $750 per semester, $1,500 per year, renewable up to four years for a total of $6,000 (students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 while in college to renew).
Criteria: Must plan to attend a two-year or four-year public college or university in North Dakota. Some private colleges are participating as well. Stop in Student Services for a complete list. To qualify for the scholarship the following criteria must be met:
--Obtain a grade of at least a C in each course required for graduation including the specific courses identified in the scholarship requirements and a cumulative GPA of at least a B.
--Receive a composite score of at least a 24 on an ACT no later than February 9, 2013.
Course Requirements:
--1 credit of Algebra II
--1 credit of mathematics for which Algebra II is a prerequisite*
--2 credits of the same foreign language, Native American language, or sign language; Or 2 credits of CTE courses from a Coordinated Plan of Study
--1 credit of fine arts or career and technical education**
--1 additional credit of fine arts, career and technical education, or foreign language***
--1 credit of an AP course and completion of the AP exam in that course or either 1/2 credit or 1 credit in a dual credit course****
Process: An online application will be available March 1.
Deadline: June 7. Notification of award will be sent to students by June 30.

*Math for which Algebra II is a prerequisite:
Probability and Statistics -- .5 credit
Introduction to Discrete Mathematics -- .5 credit
Applied Trigonometry -- .5 credit
Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry -- 1 credit
Enriched Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry -- 1 credit

Course Requirements:
--1 credit of Algebra II
--2 credits of a coordinated plan of study recommended by the Department of Career and Technical Education. BPS Coordinated Plans of Study are listed below.
--1 credit selected from foreign languages, Native American languages, American Sign language, fine arts, or Career and Technical Education
--Any 5 additional credits, 2 of which must be in the area of Career and Technical Education.
Process: An online application will be available March 1.
Deadline: June 7. Notification of award will be sent to students by June 30.
