Welcome to Girl's Fastpitch Softball
As we near the start of the second season of sanctioned Girls Fastpitch Softball, Coach Zeigler is anxious to get the season going. With 12 returning Varsity players, the team looks to be solid competitors within Region 3 and the rest of the State competition. Several Varsity players were named to the All-Region team after last year's inaugural season. Also, there are 22 players on the two junior varsity teams, giving the Sparks a bright future for years to come.
Schedules this season include 'crossover' games, with the Sparks traveling to Valley City and Grand Forks to play teams outside Region 3. This addition to the schedule will allow all 14 teams a chance to play each other during the season. All scheduled games will be counted toward overall and regional records, used for seeding each team for the regional tournaments.
