Class Options for Children receiving Individual Education Program Services

We have a number of different classroom options for Early Childhood Special Education: These class options are free to children who qualify for an Individual Education Program:

Classes are taught by teachers certified in Early Childhood Special Education: Class size 10-14 children with 2-4 children attending as Community Friends to provide modeling in language and social skills. The rest of the children have Individual Education Programs to address individual learning needs.

Morning class: Monday-Thursday 8:15-11:15

Afternoon class: Monday-Thursday 12:15-3:15

Head Start classes are available to children with an Individual Education Plan whose family meets Federal Income guidelines. These classes have 17 students and meet from 8:15-2:30 Monday-Thursday.

The law requires that we consider what is "least restrictive but most appropriate" when deciding the setting for a child with an Individual Education Plan (IEP)
